Saving for a rainy day

After visiting a First Aid house, Kristie was bandaged and the gang was ready for a feed, just in time to avoid the rain.  We stopped in a rad place playing Dire Straits through the house speakers and no dogs in site, although there was a baby cat lurking around - local food was always better than the resort food and we took advantage of the next to nothing prices.  I had prawns in a coconut sauce with rice, it was amazing and around $3 - Boss.

Man Down

Kristie is the toughest girl i know - She slammed and she slammed good.  She was really quite lucky to come out of the crash as well as she did with a bunch of scabs,  after hitting two pot holes filled with rain water she flew over the handle bars and landing an inch from the back wheel of Perko's bike, if Perko had of braked kristie would be messed!  I was 10 metres behind the crash and Ravi and Hannah were riding just infront of me - Ravi saw the crash and freaked out, swerving to the side trying to brake and accelerate at the same time amost putting himself and hannah in a accident themselves.  This gathered alot of attention from local by passers.  Kristie had to pay $200 for the damage done to the bike - the plastic from the headlight had smashed and a side sticker was shredded, the owner was a dick.

Drying to live

After swimming at the beach we kept venturing through the valley and with none of us bringing towels this was a fun way to get dry, these photos are taken whilst riding my motorbike - it was super sketchy and i almost drove off a small clift.

Lost Paradise.

We filled our bikes full with petrol - $1.50 and went for a venture through the mountains.  These bikes are super fun to hoon about on and with no police on the island you could basically do whatever you wanted.  We came across this beach - it was without any doubt the nicest place i have ever been, i felt like Leonardo acting a scene in 'The Beach' yet again the water was like a warm bath and there was a local with a guitar playing lush tunes and hustlers selling fresh pineapple, I loved this scene.

Dogs lunch

With the food being pricey at the resort we hired motorbikes and ventured into a little town for lunch and enough food to keep us not so hungry for dinner, the prices were extremely different - this day i had a starter of noodles w/chicken and veg a main of grilled fish with cherry tomatoes and coconut sauce, 1 bintang, 2 cans of coke and a pack of Marlboro lights for a total of $8.  Kristie doesnt normally smoke.. so she gave it a go and remember why she doesnt normally smoke.  The only downfall to this eat in was the local wild dogs, these dogs roam the streets and eat what they can - 3 dogs had become attached to our table and were crawling around under our feet and occassionally brawling in the open - it was sketchy

Good Morning

Every morning a man and two cows would walk a quater of the beach to rake the sand, then the cows would sit under a tree facing the resturant with a 'Good Morning" sign for the guest.

SHAQ

This Hoop was perfect size to get your drunk on - we broke the back board a little during this photoshoot, sorry dudes.

Everyone is always on the hustle in Bali, this tiny kid was yelling at us to buy one of his familys coconuts but.. we didnt, to be honest it seemed like a good idea to stay away from a small money hungry child with a knife bigger than his arm.  This beach was common to fishes - when laying in the water schools of fish would skip across the water cm's away, it was rad

Lifes a Beach

This resort was amazing - right on the beach, amazing pool, plenty of hammocks and deck chairs even a 'kids club' with a basketball ring but the food was expensive and the price of a Bintang was simular to back home.  Everynight we stayed there - Myself, Sam and BT would lay in the ocean which is like a giant warm bath and watch the sun set then cruise up to the pool and chill in there for around 3 hours talking smack, Good times.
