21h30… Entry.

The beginning of the night was fantastic, with a chilled blend of house music and up-beat electro from Fabio, plus super-fly dance tunes from Tayo and S.H.D.J.s, filling the Room 2 dance floor. Fabio, Tayo (Fabric's Resident Dj) and Southern Hospitality Dj's were the felons for this groove.

The main night was mostly focused in Room 1 where the main acts dropped some serious noise: A-Trak, Gesaffelstein, and Mumdance, supported by Steep and Siren Dipity Dj's. People started to flood in, filling the dance floor with seemingly choreographed sequenced moves. Admittedly, I was throwing some serious shapes too!

My main focus was on Atrak and Gesaffelstein. I was alternating between rooms and popping out for the odd occasional cigarette. However, I spent most of my time in the basement of the building (Room 1), eagerly awaiting the Canadian and the Frenchman. I was certain that most people in the crowd were also waiting on the same breath as I was.

Mumdance and Siren Dipity Dj's were filthy and heavy on the tunes and didn't disappoint the growing crowd. This Asian dude was ripping up some moves on the floor in total ecstasy to any phat bass that filled the room. People started to follow this jolly man's actions and soon joined him in his ceremonious dance to forget the week gone by.

Speaking of my week of work; It had just begun. I had squeezed to my post on stage and prepped my camera for a blitzkrieg of tormenting images. A-trak walks out to a technical problem to the music equipment and helps the worrying technician to solve the problem. This was interesting, to me anyway, as they didn't stop the music, like some shows would, A-trak whacked what seemed to be an intermission or looped tune on and grew excitement which took away from the technicians stress.

With a clearing of tools and torches the technician disappeared and A-Trak begun his tormenting tirade of tunes upon the unsuspecting, but accepting crowd. They cheered; the mounted shoulders; shirts went flying and bra clad tits were thrown in the air like they just don't care!

To explain the feeling would be pointless, the show was fantastic and was well played by A-Trak, and people went spastic at Barbra Streisand. Ohh-woo-ah-woo-ah-woo-ah-woo-oo! I have to admit, I love that song. Many wont ever admit that they bounce to that tune on the odd occasion.

A-Trak finished with some radical scratching and some clever mash-up of his tunes and gave it up to the infamous Gesaffelstein. The French Master of sub-tronic noise and catchy dance grooves. I think most will agree that the night was owned by the two different but equally skilled music technicians: A-Trak and Gesaffelstein.

A recommended show if either are playing in your local city, together or separately. Give it go and don't miss the show. Enjoy the Photos.
